The Internet has been whirling with the rumor that Britney Spears was ready to tie the knot again but People.com has issued a statement that despite the stories, Britney Spears and Jason Trawick are NOT engaged right now.

This shouldn’t be much of a surprise since the rumors started with Star magazine - a known tabloid - spreading the word that the newly public couple was ready to take to the aisle and marry.

While I would be thrilled to see Britney get married again - this time to the right guy! - I’m also happy for her to take her time. She’s known Jason for a long time and if the time is right, it will happen, but just because they’re happy together and enjoying each other’s company it doesn’t mean the tabloids all need to jump to wedding conclusions!

Britney Spears is enjoying some downtime after her Circus tour but that doesn’t mean she’s slowing down completely. First she was off to the Bahamas with her family and some friends at the Atlantis. Britney showed just how hot she looks in a bikini as she splashed around and looked to be having an amazing time. (Seriously though, can you believe that some people are still harping on her for the way her body looks? She looks *incredible*!)

Once the fun in the sun was over, Britney headed to Louisiana where she was an honorary bridesmaid for her cousin Laura Lynne Covington. Brit was walked down the aisle by her brother and managed to avoid stealing the show - a wedding guest told People.com, “She was very pretty, low-key. She was not the center of everything, just pretty and calm and collected.”

Guests went on to say that Britney enjoyed the reception by spending most of her time with sister Jamie Lynn Spears (who had brought baby Maddie with her) and other locals that she had known for years. She didn’t seek out any special attention and did her best to blend in.

I’d be nervous as a bride if a big name like Britney Spears was going to be there, so it’s great to hear that she was just a regular girl hanging out with her friends and family at a wedding!

Wedding is Off!, this is what Star Magazine is claiming on the cover of its upcoming issue.

The tabloid writes:

Jamie Lynn’s baby joy turns into tears … Wedding is Off!
* She moves in with dad.
* Tells Casey: Don’t Touch Me!
* Is he cheating again?

Trouble in paradise? Hopefully this is only a rumor.

Rumor has it that Britney totally snubbed her little sister Jaime Lynn when asked to be a maid of honor at her wedding (she is getting married?!?).

According to recent tabloid reports, Jamie Lynn is set to marry boyfriend Casey Aldridge in a low-key ceremony before the birth of their baby this June. But Britney told her that “hell would freeze over” first before she participated in her wedding this summer.

According to the tabloid, Britney is still butt-hurt because she had to hear about Jamie-Lynn’s pregnancy via the paper and is refusing to let go. “All she wants to do is live off my fame,” she told a friend, “She just wants her famous sister at her wedding to show off to her friends. She doesn’t care about me.”

The story about Britney Spears’ wedding to Adnan is evolving and include an entire scheme which was likely tailored by Adnan, here are some of the rumors according to STAR:

Adnan lied to Britney and is actually still married to AzLynn Berry. When she realized, Britney first DUMPED Adnan because she was so furious - but later gave him $250,000 to speed up his divorce so they could wed for real, according to Star. “He is promising her that they’d get married again once his divorce is final,” the source said.

According to a source for the SUNDAY EXPRESS, “Brit blew a fuse again when she was told it would be an act of insanity to marry. Having a Scientology wedding is her way of giving her family a one-finger salute.”
