Following an entertaining trip to the mall Britney’s body guard decided to burn some rubber and ditch a red light pull some funky turns on the way home. Didn’t take long before the Escalade was pulled over…

It appears as if no citation was issued, though, and the bodyguard only got a warning.

A local L.A. councilman is proposing the creation of an anti-paparazzi “Personal Safety Law” for celebs in the city. According to the creator, Dennis Zine, the measure would create a “personal safety zone” of 10-20 feet around celebs surrounded by paparazzi. The LAPD chief William Bratton seems to strongly oppose the law which will add more work for his guys. When asked about the proposal, Bratton said:

“What we need is Britney Spears to stay home instead of traipsing all over town. That would solve the problem. We don’t need additional laws…. I’ve got laws coming out my ears to deal with this issue.”

Sam Lutfi was served with the restraining order last night at his apartment complex in Culver City but it didn’t take much before his attorney found an error and tried to set him free.

According to sources the 48 hour restraining order re-issued earlier this week was expired when served and Sam’s attorney headed to court today to challenge the restraining order calling “illegal”. Well, the court knows exactly whats up and the amount of hours team Britney spent on finding him (over 300 hours) and not only ruled it legal but extended it for almost a month, until March 17th.

So it is official, by law, Sam must stay a minimum of 250 yard from Britney (not sure about phone and such). In addition, TMZ confirms that LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division is investigating Sam for allegedly drugging Brit.

According to LAPD sources, Sam Lutfi is under an LAPD investigation for allegedly drugging Britney Spears:

Law enforcement sources tell us the Major Crimes Division of the LAPD is on the case. The conservators have complained that Lutfi drugged Spears as a way of keeping her under his control. We’re told the investigation is very much active.

The allegations first arise with the initial conservatorship hearing when Lynn Spears gave her first-hand testimony. Sam later-on admitted in an interview to have offered Britney with prescrptioned medicine which was not meant for her.

So it appears as if some a-hole tried to get Britney in trouble for running a red light using this video… However, the Los Angeles Police Department did not pay much attention releasing a statement that says “We can’t just go by someone’s (video) tape. We have to witness it, unless it’s an intersection with cameras that automatically take pictures of people running red lights, and then something gets mailed to the registered owner.”

Some people simply have no life, eh?

Britney Spears was booked into the Van Nuys Valley jail at 9:26pm tonight. According to TMZ, Britney stepped into the jail at 9:25 tonight and was booked minutes later. Britney was ordered to turn herself in after an L.A.City Attorney charged her back in September with one count of hit and run causing property damage and one count of driving without a valid California license.

Both charges carry a maximum of 6 months in jail.
