Britney Spears fan “amused” by arrest
May 4, 2009 by Sherry
Kyle King, now infamous for rushing onstage to dance with Britney Spears, is seemingly rather amused by the whole - pardon the pun - media CIRCUS - surrounding the incident.
After being removed from the building by security, the fan was arrested for “breach of peace”. He was also charged for interfering with the police (which I presume means he was drunkenly resisting arrest) and was released after paying $250 bail on Sunday morning. Kyle will be facing a judge in court on June 18th for the charges.
On his MySpace page, Kyle King set his mood to “amused”, obviously not overly concerned about the whole fiasco. On the other hand, Britney Spears was definitely unamused and concerned; in my previous post I had said that Brit didn’t seem to be too upset by the crazed fan, but that video was shot from behind. In this video you can see that she is clearly freaking out that someone managed to get on stage with her:
Notice that her mic is most definitely not on because we can’t hear what she’s screaming at the fan and her security folks, although anyone who can lip read can get the basic idea that it’s not particularly pleasant.
Do you think he’ll be found guilty at the court appearance? I hope he get fined for it, no matter how much you love a celebrity, this guy was absolutely out of line!

Britney Spears, Sam Lufti, and Adnan Ghalib - Is Brit sabotaging herself?
The current court case involving Britney Spears, her dad Jamie Spears, and ex-manager Sam Lufti just keeps getting stranger and stranger! The newest details to leak out from the case, where Sam has been standing up against the restraining order are just bizarre!
According to statements made in court, Britney has been making top secret phone calls to Sam Lufti and Adnan Ghalib on a prepaid cell phone that was somehow given to her by her ex-manager. I’m not sure how Sam mmanaged to send her a cell phone when Britney has been so heavily guarded and under what appears to be a very vigilant watch, but the phone in question was allegedly confiscated from Brit by some of the security that keeps tabs on her.
(Confiscated? Really? I don’t think either Sam or Adnan is a good influence on Britney but they confiscated her phone? I know she’s under Jamie’s control legally but this all makes her sound like she 15 years old and got caught staying up too late at night talking to her boyfriend while hiding under her covers, doesn’t it?)
I can’t help but wonder why Britney would want to communicate with either Sam or Adnan when it seems so clear that they caused far more trouble for her than anything else. On the other hand, maybe Britney isn’t sabotaging herself - maybe it’s Jamie Spears who is creating the biggest danger. There’s helping and protecting, and then there’s overbearing and over-controlling. The former could keep Britney safe and make her life better.
But the latter could end up pushing her straight back towards the people she needs out of her life.
What do you think of all this insanity?

POLL: Has Justice Been Made?
October 22, 2008 by Gilad
Now, that Britney’s court case is officially dismissed and Britney is off the hook I was wondering how you felt about it? Do you think she should have been punished? Do you think it was a waste of time? Let us know!
Finally: Case Dismissed, Britney is off the Hook
Following the mistrial and the judge decided to dismiss the case and say goodbye to parties…
Apparently, prosecutors got to the realization that pulling this even longer is only going to look bad but mentioned that they were “troubled by outside impressions that were brought into the courtroom” and decided not re-file the charge against her. They added that they feel as if Brit’s “celeb” status worked for her advantage and that she could have avoided trial altogether had she agreed to the $3,000 fine offered to her.
Personally I think that Brit’s “celeb” status is the only reason she was sent to court on the first time. A normal person would have gotten a small fine along with a proof that they got a local license. But, hey, justice was made… Right?
Court Decision Due (Maybe) Today
Well, at first it was Friday when they ran out of time to decide, and then yesterday when they just couldn’t decide so maybe today the jury in Britney’s misdemeanor trial will be kind to quit wasting tax-payer’s dollars and close this case…
Apparently the jury is in a deadlock after 3 votes all which resulted in a 10-2 decision (they did not disclose to which side). At that point the judge requested that they think about Jamie Spears’ testimony and vote again. Clearly he was saying “let’s get this over with,” but when they still could not decide he sent everyone home with high hopes to wrap it all up today.
Stay tuned, 9am is the time set for everyone to return to court.
After Deliberations Jury Decides … Not to Decide
October 17, 2008 by Gilad
Britney Spears’ trial continued today with closing arguments and jury deliberations but as it appears at the moment, verdict will only be read on Monday.
In his closing arguments the prosecutor, Michael Amerian, told the jury that Britney should be convicted because “Every significant occurrence of Britney Spears’s life has occurred in Los Angeles, she is a California resident.”
He claims that Brit’s attempt to obtain a local license months before the incident “shows her intent to stay here.”
Britney’s attorney, Michael Flanagan, told jurors that Brit “doesn’t want to be here (in California). She’s a Louisiana girl. She’s only here because of her custody case. She keeps thinking, maybe next month I can go home.”
If Britney is convicted she can get as much as 6 months in prison or $1000 in fines. Hopefully, if she is convicted she doesn’t get locked up as it would kill all her efforts at this point.
Britney’s Trial - What Do Both Sides Say
October 16, 2008 by Gilad
Following a short process of jury selection earlier today, Britney’s misdemeanor trial opened with opening statements and papa Spears taking the stand for a testimony as well; however, what do both sides say and does Britney really have a chance here?
Well the prosecutor’s claims are very simple: Britney has been living in California for years, had bought and sold several homes, gave birth to several kids and rarely goes back home to LA. Therefore, California is her home state.
Team Britney, on the other hand, claims that Britney never considered California to be her home state and that Louisiana is her real home state. They added that Britney did try to get a local license but the DMV failed to take her picture because of paparazzi who swarmed the place.
If team Britney can convince the jury that she is indeed a Louisiana girl, Brit goes free. Otherwise we’ll see how things develop.
PS. Although Britney’s attorney wished for her to give a testimony but was forced to tell the court that she will not make it because she will have the boys at that time.
L.A. Court Judge: “Britney Should Wait Some More”
September 2, 2008 by Gilad
If you remember, Britney Spears got in some driver’s license trouble a year ago and has been waiting for a court ruling since then. However, Judge James Steele decided that Britney is going to wait some more pushing the hearing originally scheduled for today - back to September 16th. By that date the judge should arrive at a decision whether she is heading to trial, going to pay a fine or going to be dismissed.
For those of you with short memory, Britney got in trouble because she never bothered to get a California driver’s license while she’s been living there for years. This is, apparently, very illegal and sometime along her downfall late last year one smart cop suddenly noticed that.
Custody Settlement Finalized
July 25, 2008 by Gilad
The custody settlement reached last week, between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, is now finalized. Attorneys for the two appeared in from of Commissioner Gordon in the L.A. Family Court and presented the agreement to him. Gordon, in turn, approved the settlement and made it official.
“She’s thrilled,” the pop star’s attorney Laura Wasser told PEOPLE. “To have more time with her kids has been her motivation to get well. In light of her outstanding conservatorship, she couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
Just in case you missed it, Kevin maintained full custody of the boys while Britney – who is currently allowed two visits and one overnight per week – will get an additional sleepover by year’s end. Britney also agreed to increase Kevin’s child support to $20,000 a month (a $5,000 increase) and pay off his $250,000 legal bill.
Sam Lutfi Hopes to Get Back in Britney’s Life
July 23, 2008 by Gilad

As team Britney is preparing to head to court and fight for the renewal of his restraining order (July 31st), Sam Lutfi, the man who wrecked managed Britney Spears‘ career before her breakdown is opening up about “life after the restraining order.”
A source for In Touch Weekly magazine said: “Sam believes that he and Britney are still friends. If the restraining order is lifted, he’ll be back in her life for sure.”
According to the source, Sam still denies all claims made by Britney’s mom, Lynne, that he provided her with drugs and controlled her medications.
The source added: “Sam insists it will come out that the restraining order was against the wrong guy. So lifting the order would give him the chance to protect Britney from the vultures out there.”
The restraining order will be discussed in an upcoming July 31st hearing and it looks like Sam is quite sure he will be “off the hook.”
