Did Britney Spears make a call for help?
March 30, 2009 by Sherry
Britney Spears has allegedly called her legal team, pleading for help in making sure that her father’s conservatorship can be dropped without jeopardizing her access to her children.
In the clip, as posted by JFXOnline.com, Britney claims her father has threatened to take her children away several times and she requests reassurance that the lawyers can protect her from that.
I think it’s fake. Have a listen:
For one thing, that doesn’t even sound like Britney at all. And her legal team would not have leaked the clip, so unless there’s some rogue receptionist or something, it’s unlikely that this is real.
Also, I don’t know about you, but if I was a mother who was worried about losing my children, my voice mail would be a) longer, and b) way more panicked than that was.
Do you agree that it’s fake?
Britney Spears can’t control herself - ever
January 7, 2009 by Sherry

According to Access Hollywood, Britney Spears will never control her own life again. The courts filed papers to make the ruling official, and Britney’s conservatorship will be permanent. This means that essentially her father, Jamie Spears will have full control over Britney’s life - for the rest of her life
Her father will permanently control his daughter’s finances and personal matters. The court papers declare that Britney is substantially unable to manage … her financial resources or to resist fraud or undue influence.”
They also claim that she can’t properly provide for her own personal needs when it comes to health, which includes shelter and food.
What is particularly chilling is that Jamie has “the power to restrict and limit visitors by any means.”
While restrictions were good when it came to people like Sam Lufti and Adnan Ghalib, I can’t help but worry - what if Britney meets someone that she cares about and there’s really nothing wrong with him but Jamie just doesn’t like him? It must be scary to be a legal adult but not be allowed to have any kind of control of yourself.
I don’t really know why this was made permanent at this point. Britney isn’t a sociopath, but permanent it is. However, when the ruling was made in October she didn’t object or appeal.
What do you think of the permanence? Is it too much or is it the only way to keep Britney and her kids safe?

Britney’s Conservatorship is Temporarily Permanent?!?
October 30, 2008 by Gilad
In a court resolution, made yesterday, Jamie Spears’ conservatorship over Britney Spears was made permanent but today we learn that this “permanent conservatorship” may only be temporary… HUH?
A court commissioner said yesterday that the extension is “necessary and appropriate” but experts who had an opportunity to review the decision say that it can be overturned the moment her doctors feel she is ready.
So is it or isn’t it?
“People shouldn’t read too much into the word ‘permanent,’ ” Terry K. Wasserman, a mental health lawyer told PEOPLE.com. “In many cases, it’s just a formality to avoid having to renew a temporary status over and over again.”
And, how does Brit feel about it?
“I’ve met several times with [Britney] and she requested that I not object to the permanent conservatorship,” said Samuel Ingham, Britney’s court-appointed lawyer.
Restraining Order Against Sam Dropped
July 31, 2008 by Gilad
Along with the renewal of Britney’s conservatorship in court today, there was an interesting discussion of whether or not Brit’s restraining order against Sam Lutfi would be renewed as well. Well this renewal did not happen mainly because the court thinks that Britney’s much stronger and that Jaime can now fully protect her from him.
Britney’s court appointed attorney said to AP today: “During the temporary conservatorship, the conservators have the power to insure that Lutfi will not harm Britney anymore.”
Sam recently announced that he still believes Britney misses him and that they should be together in no time. What do you think? Will Scum Sam be back?
Britney’s Conservatorship Extended till 2009
July 31, 2008 by Gilad
Today was a big day for Britney Spears and un-doubtfully a stressful one. Does she ditch the conservatorship and tries handling life alone again or extends it and stay secured (& limited).
Well, following another day at court from which Britney was absent, Brit’s conservatorship was extended until the end of the year with a progress review scheduled for October 28th.
“The extension of the conservatorship was at the request and suggestion of Britney’s doctors,” says a source close to the singer. “They’ve indicated she’s made great improvement, but it’s a work in progress. Jamie Spears doesn’t want the conservatorship to last a day longer than the doctors recommend.” [source]
Jamie Spears (aka Britney’s dad), was named temporary conservator of Brit’s affairs on Feb. 1, this was after she went through 2 forced hospitalizations in January.
Britney Heading to Court Twice this Week
June 17, 2008 by Gilad
Britney Spears may be off the hook on one case but she will still need to appear in court twice this week…

First appearance, taking place today, will be in probate hearing pertaining to her conservatorship. As you may remember, the court had ruled that Britney is incapable of appearing in her own custody hearing and she is making great efforts to get ’small hurdle’ off the way in an attempt to eventually get some custody back.
In last month’s session the court decided not to decide and kept the status quo as is.
Second appearance, this coming tomorrow, will for charges of driving without a license last August. If you remember, Britney had a small ‘incident’ and after the fact, police noticed that Britney was driving with a Louisiana driver’s license while living in California for almost 9 years. Which means she was driving without a license…
Conservatorship Can Be Expensive
Among the many expenses Britney has on her day to day life, conservatorship seems to take the largest portion of her money these days.
In the hearing held yesterday the issue of payment was discussed and we were given an insight into how much the attorneys are getting for “helping” Britney through getting her life back together.
Via OK Magazine:
- Brit’s court-appointed attorney will be getting $10,000 a week through July 31.
- Co-conservator Wallet gets $100,000
- Luce Forward law firm will get $175,000 (for work done through March 31).
- Clark Byam, another attorney, will get $22,500.
- Stacy Phillips, will get $75,000 (also for work through March 31).
$10,000 a week!!! Who said that court appointed attorneys don’t get paid much?!?
Jamie Wins Sam’s Britney’s Appeal
March 24, 2008 by Gilad
So back when Britney was only released from the UCLA psych ward and we were introduced to the term “conservatorship”, Britney had allegedly contacted an estranged attorney to represent her in fighting her this conservatorship. Later on we learned about about Sam’s tied to this attorney and about his wish to gain control of Britney although her phenomenal improvement in the past month.
Anyways, the case was discussed in court and in a statement released today, Sam Jon Eardley(the attorney) was told to piss off… In fact based on the court’s response I must question the competence of this guy as conservatorship, according to the court, cannot even be appealed!
According to the court’s comments the case is “hereby dismissed as being taken from a nonappealable order.“
Court Update: No Change
Court met today to discuss the Spears vs. Federline custody battle and although we hear that Kevin was all for allowing Britney some time with the boys, the court decided not to decide and kept the status quo as is (100% to KFed).
On the same note, we hear that the conservatorship was not discussed nor mentioned and that unless Britney’s new attorney pulls some Federal Court hearing out of the bag, no change will happen until March 10th.
Update 1: The above comments are as of the court’s lunch break. Hearing is set to continue in 10 minutes so while the above was agreed, it is not set in stone (yet).
Britney Conservatorship Update
Britney wants out now and she is willing to do whatever it takes to have her freedom back. If rumors are correct, court may sit down again to re-consider Britney’s conservatorship as soon as tomorrow morning… Here’s a quick update:
Sunday Night: Britney calls for help to a new attorney, Jon Eardley, asking that he helps her to “get her life back.” According to X17, Britney said:
I want my life back; I want to be able to drive my car; I want to be able to live in my house by myself. I want to say who is going to be my security guard. I want to see who I want to see at any time and make it happen.
Monday Morning: Britney’s new attorney tells PEOPLE that Britney has been “deprived of her Constitutional rights” and that she is seeking a “return to normalcy.” He filed a complaint to the U.S. District Court on behalf of Britney. “I see the case as a civil rights case,” he said. “These are issues of confinement. Very serious confinement. Not allowed to contact her friends. Not allowed to use the phone. Not allowed to come and go as you please. Bodyguards controlling you and so forth.”
So, How did she Find Him?
