I keep checking out various “best of 2009″ lists (one of my favorite things in a new year is to reflect on the best stuff of the year before) and Britney Spears keeps showing up on most of them!

Most recently I learned that as far as tours go, Britney’s Circus tour was ranked 4th in the top 20 tours of 2009. As far as numbers go, the tour is said to have pulled in a whopping $82.5 million. Wow!

One thing I’ve noticed while Britney Spears has been touring Australia is that there have been surprisingly few photos of her performances. Back in the U.S. there were plenty where we got to see her costumes and the venue. However, over the weekend I came across a personal review which included some photos.

Recently Britney Spears brought the Circus to Brisbane, Australia to the delight of her fans. Although the tour is slowly drawing closer to the end, people still seem to be enjoying the concerts and Britney is maintaining her energy.

On November 11th, Britney Spears performed in Melbourne, Australia and despite criticism for lip syncing in some of the media it seems that fans had an incredible time! Check out Britney performing “Circus”:

On Friday night, Perth, Australia got to finally share in the excitement of Britney Spears performing her Circus Tour. Britney took over the Burswood Dome for her own three-ring circus and it looks like the entire show was pretty high-energy.
Here’s Britney performing “Toxic” – unlike many video cameras in large venues, this one seems to have picked up the sound pretty well without much distortion.

We already knew yesterday that Britney Spears arrived safely in Australia but now some photos have surfaced as well.

Britney made it to Perth in West Australia but it took her about 23 hours to fly there! Wow! Although Britney flew in with her dad, Jamie Spears, Kevin Federline will bring Jayden James and Sean Preston to the country as soon as he’s done with a segment of his reality show. As a parent I’d just like to say how happy I am that it’s not ME flying 23 hours with two young children.

Britney Spears was seen at the airport in Los Angeles Monday night, looking a little bit tired as she passed through security and got ready to board a flight.

She could have been going anywhere but Britney posted to Twitter, saying:
Jumping on V Australia. This plane is awesome! I’ll be down under tomorrow. Can’t wait! -Britney
Time goes so fast! We’ve been able to see Britney relaxing with her sons and Jason Trawick, just enjoying herself, and it’s hard to believe it’s already time for her to resume her Circus tour!

If you want to tour with Britney Spears you’d better be clean – and I don’t mean clean in the hygiene sense (though I’m sure that helps too). Allegedly, Britney orders random drug tests on her dancers as well as anyone else affiliated with her tour.
According to the source, Britney takes it very seriously when it comes to being completely clean on tour:
“Britney’s rule is clear – zero tolerance. No drink. No drugs. If you do not comply, you do not tour with Britney.”

Sunday night, at the Mandalay Bay Theater in Las Vegas, Britney Spears officially closed down the North American leg of her amazing Circus Tour. Earlier in the day she had been busy enjoying quality time with her boys, but once she got up on stage she was all business.
