Britney Spears joined Maddona on stage yesterday during her concert at Dodgers stadium in front of 50,000 screaming fans. Here she is going on stage for the first time with the crowd going ballistic as they see her, almost as if they cannot believe she really made it.
The concert was packed with celebs, from J.Lo, Kate Moss, Heidi Klum, Amanda Bynes, Dennis Quaid, Cheryl Tieg and even J.T. (who joined Madge on stage).
Check out the video of “Human Nature”, Britney comes on at about 2:20 mins into it (photos here):
What seems yesterday as another wild dream of a crazy blogger turned into reality as Britney Spears joined Maddona on stage tonight at the opening of her US tour in Los Angeles. Britney joined Maddona for the song “Die Another Day” and “Gimme More”. Here is a glimpse of what it looked like.
Note: This looks like a cell phone recording and is in a very low quality. Hopefully better ones will be up by the morning.
Madonna wants to get Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake back together again - not romantically, mind you. She just wants to hook them back up on stage. Ryan Seacresthas reported that this coming Thursday will be a monumental day for the two exes who have not spent much time together in recent years.
Allegedly, both Britney and Justin will perform with Madonna at Dodger Stadium for her Sticky & Sweet tour. We’ve seen collaborations among the three before. Madonna performed with Britney and Christina Aguilera for the VMAs in 2003, and most recently of course, Justin did a duet with Madonna for her hit song “4 Minutes (to save the world)”.
The biggest collaboration of all though was that of a romantic nature, back when Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake where involved in a serious relationship years ago.
It will be interesting to see how this performance goes and whether the two will actually interact musically with each other or strictly with Madonna. More details are supposed to come out today via Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on KIIS FM, so stay tuned for that. Meanwhile, I know that I’ll be keeping an eye on YouTube later in the week, scouring it to see if I can find video footage of the performances. I can guarantee that I’ll have something up if anything is available!
While we’re all very excited about the upcoming Britney Spears tour to promote “Circus”, the truth is that right now it’s not quite a worldwide tour. At least not yet!
Wade Robson, who is still keeping busy by working on new moves and routines for Britney’s tour, admitted that right now the tour only has definite U.S. dates with a small handful of stops in the U.K. as well. However, it seems that it’s only a matter of time before it expands into other countries. Robson said, “[…] I’m sure it’s going to become a world tour.”
I sure hope so! If she ends up coming to my city I really hope to go and see her perform. I’ve always loved watching her live performances on award shows, I can only imagine how exciting it must be in person.
You can see a video clip of Wade Robson talking about the work he’s currently doing with Britney Spears.
Apparently Simon Cowell hasn’t just been hyping up Britney Spears with positive talk. According to AceShowbiz.com, he also blabbed while mildly intoxicated, revealing the date Britney will appear on X-Factor.
If you’re anxiously awaiting the show, take note because Britney Spears will be on X-Factor on November 15th.
It’s been confirmed that Britney Spears is set to perform at the Z100’s Jingle Ball 2008 held December 12th in New York.
Britney Spoke to Z100 earlier this morning and when asked about the performance rumors she said ‘Yes, I Will be there with a KILLER performance!’
While the official site states that official lineup will be announced on Friday at 5PM, we hear that performances by Katy Perry, David Archuleta, Ne-Yo, Leona Lewis, Chris Brown and many others have been rumored to appear.
Simon Cowell, who will soon be welcoming Britney Spears on X Factor for a special performance wasn’t his usual heavily critical self when he spoke about Britney recently. According to the official Britney Spearswebsite, Simon was actually quite enthused about the upcoming event:
News of the World is reporting that X Factor judge Simon Cowell has nothing but nice things to say about Brit in the wake of her X Factor performance this month. The article reports the always candid Simon as saying: “I’m really excited about it, because she’s got her act together now and the new record’s terrific. She’s come back from a very dark place and is a great artist”.
I’m so used to hearing Simon tear contestants a new one when they perform on American Idol that it’s always a pleasant surprise when I hear him say something really positive.
And of course (as usual, I must admit), Simon’s completely right. Britney was in a bad place not so long ago, but in an amazingly short amount of time she’s come back so far and is doing so well that she will just keep going up and up.
In other news, there are pictures up at Britney’s site where you can see that she dressed up as a very cute witch for Halloween this year while spending some festive fun time with her sons - both of whom looked incredibly adorable.
Wow. Like Britney Spears isn’t already busy enough these days. She’s been rehearsing almkost 24/7, working on her album, shooting her video, and preparing for her album launch in December, followed by a world tour in 2009. Now she’s got another launch ahead in January 2009. After some pretty decent success with her Believe fragrance, she’s ready for round two.
In January you’ll be able to purchase the new Britney Spears fragrance, Hidden Fantasy. According to press details, the scent comes from her love of white florals, vanilla, and rich desserts. The overall effect is a fairly sweet smelling perfume which will sell for $55 for 3.3 oz.
Will you try the new Britney Spears fragrance when Hidden Fantasy hits stores in January?
Britney Spears’ father Jamie was granted permanent conservatorship of Britney’s affairs earlier this week. Initially he had been granted control on a temporary basis after her second hospitalization in January and it was set to expire on December 31st.
After consulting Britney’s mental health records, her attorney stated that she did not have any objection to having it extended permanently. According to Us Weekly:
“The court finds the proposed permanent conservatorship is necessary and appropriate [because of the] complexities of her financial and business entities and also potential for her being susceptible to influences,” said Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz.
On the one hand it’s so hard for me to imagine a grown woman letting her father control so much of her life, but on the other it seems like it’s been working. Before he took over, Britney was spinning out of control. When he stepped in, things calmed down for her, she got the help she needed, and she began getting better again. Now she has her sons back in her life, won a bunch of VMA awards, has a number one song, a killer video, an album coming out, and a world tour to put together.
Clearly Britney’s life has improved drastically since her father took charge and he seems to have her absolute best interests in mind (unlike some other stage parents out there). It seems like this is the best solution for everyone.
