Britney says there’s no excitement or passion in her life right now, admitting that while she has happy days, she also has bad days. Then she goes on to describe what her life, under the care of her father Jamie Spears, is really like.

“Even when you go to jail you know there’s the time when you’re gonna get out. But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like Groundhog Day every day. I think it’s too in control. If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear but they’re really not listening. I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free.”

That’s so sad to read. Britney’s life is better right now, in the sense that I don’t open up my celebrity news every morning wondering if something tragic has happened to her. It sounds overdramatic, but honestly, while she was going through her breakdown at the beginning of this year, I almost expected to hear that she had died and I don’t think that’s too far-fetched. The road she was on was not a safe one and it had so much potential to lead to a horrible end.

I’m glad her family stepped in and helped her when she needed it most. I think it saved her life. But when I look at pictures of her these days, there are so many times that I can see her smiling - but the smile doesn’t quite reach her eyes. Britney still has a long way to go and it seems the next step is for her to be happy again.

I wonder if there’s any way for her father to balance taking care of her while giving her a little more freedom to be herself.

After reading her feelings on her life right now, the video clip of Britney Spears impersonating her father doesn’t have quite the same humor anymore.

You’re already aware of the fact that Britney Spears will have a special biopic called Britney: For the Record on MTV, but being Canadian myself, I wanted to let my fellow Canadians know that you can also catch the special on MuchMusic.

It will air on Sunday, November 30th at 10 pm (Eastern time). It features a lot of insight into Britney’s life, including some of the problems she struggled through earlier this year. As an added bonus, they’ll be airing a pre-show special at 8 pm.

It was all in good fun though - this isn’t a video that got leaked for the sake of embarrassing Britney or Jamie Spears. Her dad was in the room the whole time she was mocking him.

I loved seeing this just because sometimes we only see the business side of Britney Spears but this clip gives us a little glimpse into her sense of humor and the dynamics of her family life.

In the meantime, if you’re not sure that you can wait until December 2nd to get the actual album, you can tide yourself over by listening to this eight-minute selection of Britney song snippets. I’m still loving “Womanizer” and I also really love “Kill the Lights”.

Overall though, the whole mix sounds amazing and I think this is going to be one of the best albums of 2008 and possibly the best Britney Spears album thus far!

There’s no doubt that there’s very little real Britney in the photo. It hardly even looks like her. The first time I saw it I thought it was Jessica Simpson and I wondered why she was dressed like that since it doesn’t fit in with her new country music hopes. Then I realized, no, it’s Britney.

I understand airbrushing in professional photos. Everyone does it from magazines to promo shoots. But to me, airbrushing is supposed to be about brightening the photo up a bit if the lighting wasn’t as good as originally thought. It’s about removing blemishes that weren’t covered well enough by make-up. It’s about removing the stray hair hanging in front of someone’s face that no one noticed until it was too late. Even little things like whitening teeth or deepening a dimple, that’s fine.

But this photo of Britney is so overly airbrushed that it’s bordering on ridiculous - and the worst thing is that I don’t understand why. Britney has been looking amazing lately. She looks happy, she’s beautiful, and her body is in tip top shape. Why would her promo people feel they had to turn someone who is already beautiful into a wax figure mockery of herself?

There will always be the negative people, the non-fans, the people who don’t want to see her succeed, but numbers like that - #8 for an album that’s not even out yet, hitting #1 for her first single off Circus - are the best proof that Britney is back and better than ever.

Britney is still in Louisiana visiting her family and it looks like they’re making the most of it. I’ll bet the boys loved seeing all the alligators!

I’m so happy that Britney is able to take Sean and Jayden on a family getaway and I’ll bet the boys are loving the chance to spend some time with their grandmother, aunt, and cousin in their own hometown. This is such a huge improvement over the old custody battle days!

I’m so relieved that after announcing that Britney Spears had rushed son Jayden to the hospital, the littlest of the Spears-Federline children is just fine. Apparently he did not actually have a seizure as was initially rumored. Jayden ended up having a strong allergic reaction to something that he had eaten. He broke out in hives, was very itchy, and uncharacteristically irritable.

Although he wasn’t in any serious danger, food allergies should be treated with caution so Jayden stayed at the hospital overnight on Sunday just to remain under observation. Both Britney Spears and mom Lynne Spears stayed at the hospital with Jayden.

The important thing is that Jayden is fine now. Poor Britney, it’s no picnic to have a scare with one of your kids. I’m so happy to hear everything is okay!

It’s been reported that Britney Spears had to make an emergency run to the hospital in Mississippi this weekend. Both Britney and her sister Jamie Lynn Spears rushed to the emergency room to seek treatment for Jayden Federline, the younger of her two boys.

They went by car, not by ambulance, and ended up staying overnight at the hospital. Nothing has been released yet as to the reason for the urgent hospitalization but the word is that Jayden Federline had a seizure.

I hope everything is going well for the little guy. Good thoughts go out to Britney Spears and the family from Britney Groupie!
