Although Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have not been together for some time now, he’s still Jayden James and Sean Preston’s father and is very much involved in their lives, which is a wonderful thing for everyone involved.

As such, I would like to wish a Happy Father’s Day to Kevin Federline on behalf of Britney Groupie readers. The fact that he and Britney have now managed new terms to have shared custody, plus the fact that he went on tour with her so they could both maintain time with their sons speaks volumes about how much these children mean to both of them.

I hope he has a wonderful time with his boys!

According to reports, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have come to an agreement regarding shared custody, one which would allow each of them 50-50 time with the kids.

There will be a temporary agreement throughout the months of June, July, and August while Britney is on tour that will actually give her more than 50% custody, with both sides having submitted requests for the days the Federline boys would be with each parent.

Once Britney’s tour is over, the 50-50 custody agreement will go into effect.

I hope this is all accurate because while I think it was best for Sean and Jayden to be with Kevin full time when Britney was falling apart, she’s doing so much better now and they’ll likely thrive best if they can have equal time with both their parents.

Despite the ferocity of their custody battle, Britney Spears calls Kevin Federline one of her best friends. Sister Jamie Lynn Spears told Hello! magazine, “Kevin has been great, as always. He and Britney have become best friends. She knows how much he cares about the boys and he knows the same is true of her.”

I’m so glad to read this. Divorce can be terrible on kids when the parents can’t find a common ground - and that common ground should be the best interests of the kids. Kevin fought hard for custody because Britney was going through her massive meltdown. In hindsight she can probably even see herself that she was not in a good place to be the primary parent at that time.

It made me hopeful when Kevin decided to work out arrangements to have the boys follow Britney while she was on tour with him tagging along to care for them when she was busy. Not everyone would be able to do that for their ex or even for their children and it showed that they both still care about each other as people.

This is excellent news! Britney Spears is going to be able to bring her sons to Europe when she starts the next leg of her Circus tour!

OK magazine’s exclusive tells us that Kevin Federline’s lawyer has stated that there is absolutely no problem with Jayden and Sean joining Britney in Europe and that Kevin is “more than happy to help facilitate Britney being able to see the boys on the European leg of the tour.”

I’m so glad that Kevin’s willing to work with Britney this way and is avoiding making her choose between her work and her babies. It seems to have worked out really well so far with Jayden and Sean hanging out with their mom on the North American tour, and I’ve loved reading her Twitter updates whenever she’s mentioned that she’s been spending time with her little guys.

The new issue of OK goes on sale on Thursday this week and inside they detail all the precise living arrangements that have allowed Jayden and Sean to keep to their usual schedules and routines without having to sacrifice their time with Britney.

Here we go again. Everyone just loves to have Britney Spears hooking up with guys. We have the backup dancer rumor, and now Star magazine is claiming that Britney was caught in bed with Kevin Federline - by his current girlfriend, Victoria Prince, no less.

Brit and Kevin can’t keep their hands off each other!” exclaims a family insider. “The flings have made them both a lot happier.”

Please. This is STAR we’re talking about. They’re about as reputable as the fortune teller at a county fair. I’m pretty sure that Britney is busy enough with her sons and her tour that she doesn’t need to desperately fill the hours with a ship that has already sailed. I think that tabloid writers must be the same people who write soap operas, what with all the drama and sex and girlfriends exposing affairs.

Besides, we all know that Jamie Spears is keeping close enough tabs on everything that a) Britney probably can’t even sleep with a teddy bear without permission, let alone a man and b) the “family insider” would have been sued and then slapped with a restraining order AND a gag order.

If you’ve purchased tickets for one of the upcoming Britney Spears concerts, you may end up having to get a refund. At the moment there are apparent legal complications that may lead Britney to flat-out cancel the tour - every single show. The issue? Her two sons, Jayden and Sean.

According to TMZ, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, along with Brit’s father, Jamie Spears, made an agreement that Jayden James and Sean Preston would accompany her on her tour. They wouldn’t be coming to all her shows, of course, but they would remain in one of three central locations which would allow Britney to travel quickly back and forth between shows and her boys. The three temporary homes would be located in New Jersey, Los Angeles, and New Orleans.

On top of that, TMZ reports:

And here’s a fun fact. We’ve learned Britney will pay Kevin in excess of $4,000 a week for each week she’s on tour. The way the deal goes… Brit would get K-Fed his own pad in each of the three bases and he wouldn’t even have to show up to get the money!

Here is the part that I don’t understand - this all comes across as very reasonable. The boys will still see their mother and father as frequently as they do now and they would be in homes, not traveling the country in a tour bus. They don’t lose their mom for weeks or months at a time. And both parents came to a solid and comfortable agreement.

Yet the lawyers who represent Kevin are flipping out over the work that was done behind their backs and are against the entire arrangement. Not only are they trying to prevent the deal, they’re hinting at a custody upheaval. TMZ says:

By the way, Britney now has close to 50/50 custody and the trio has also worked out a long-term agreement, which would extend the arrangement. That too, could be compromised.

Perhaps I’m not legally aware enough, but I don’t get it. Kevin hired the lawyers to work for him, not the other way around. If this is what he wants and it works out well for everyone, then why do they get a say in this at all?

In the meantime, keep your fingers crossed that this will all work itself out because one thing is certain - Britney Spears sounds determined to cancel the entire tour if her boys can’t join her. As a fan, I think it would be disappointing. As a mother, I don’t blame her one bit.

Divorce can really tear a family apart, but it is so nice to see that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are making the effort to get along. Over the weekend, Britney invited her ex-husband over to her new home for an afternoon family barbeque.

Originally Kevin had just stopped by to pick up his sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline but when he got there, Jamie Spears extended the invitation on her behalf. Kevin ended up staying there until just about 5 pm, then took the boys home with him.

I wonder if it was awkward for them at all. I think it’s really nice for the kids to see that even if their parents can’t stay together, at least they can be civil and friendly enough to hang out for an afternoon. Good for them!

People magazine has an awesome exclusive interview with Kevin Federline who is more “Dad” than just “the ex-Mr. Britney Spears” these days.

He talks about life with Britney, how they juggle parenting responsibilities, and how he still loves her even though he’s not in love with her anymore.

How did you react in January when Britney locked herself in the bathroom with Jayden and was later taken to the hospital on a gurney?
That whole night is a blur. You want to talk about one of my lowest points of depression, that was probably one of them. I was very, very worried for her ’cause I care about her. That’s the mother of my children. Just because I’m not in love with her doesn’t mean that I don’t love her. I’m definitely rooting for her. There’s nothing more that I want than for her to be in the best health and doing what she loves to do.

Paris Hilton Got Bitch Slapped When Asking KFed About Britney

Kevin Federline is very happy with Britney’s recovery and is doing his best to keep Brit as far from harms way as possible.

According to reports, Kevin spent his weekend in Las Vegas where he met Paris Hilton at the newest restaurant/club Lavo opening. During a short conversation with Paris, Kevin sent a strong message that he is extremely happy with Brit’s progress and does not want bad influences in her life. He, thefefore, asked Paris to stay away from Britney and not to get close to her again…

“It was quite a chilling warning. She was quite friendly and asked how Britney and the kids are but she won’t be asking again.”

Kevin Federline says he plans to release a fitness DVD sharing some of his health and exercise secrets. He claims that he has packed on some pounds due to stress and pressure in his life involving the custody battle and trying to care for his kids while shielding them from Britney Spears’ breakdown earlier this year. However, he’s ready to get back into shape and figures it’s a good time to market himself a little bit while he’s at it.

He said, “I plan to get back to looking ripped and sexy again - I know I have let it all go but watch me fly this year.”
