There are a couple more photos of Britney Spears in her Candie’s ads available today. I’m really loving the Fall 2009 looks very much, they’re all clothes that I would wear myself.

I have to agree with Britney, that little black lace dress is absolutely fabulous! I know I’d buy that in a flash if there was a Kohl’s near me.

While in Paris, Britney Spears made sure her sons got a traditional French tourism experience by taking them to the Eiffel tower. I’ll bet that made the day for other visitors - they got to see a Parisian monument AND Britney at the same time!

The kids are getting such a great experience because of the arrangement that Britney has with Kevin Federline. They get to spend a ton of time with each of their parents, and they’re getting to see some great stuff along the way. They might be too young to really appreciate it now but when they’re older they’ll probably be able to remember at least some of it and it might encourage them to travel as well.

Britney Spears has hit Paris and she’s balancing a combination of having fun and working hard. Her media team posted to Twitter saying, “Just in from Paris: Britney visited Notre Dame yesterday while in Paris for her Circus tour.” I’m glad she got to do some sightseeing first!

This was also the debut of her new brunette look on stage. I think it really works! Blond is good too, but she looks pretty tough with the brown hair, don’t you think?

On behalf of Britney Groupie, I’d like to wish all my American readers a very happy 4th of July! Whether you’re having a BBQ, going to check out the fireworks, or traveling to see family, I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

I’m sure that Britney Spears is going to have a great day with her kids. Earlier this week she posted to Twitter saying that she had spent the day with the boys on a boat, maybe they’ll do something similar.

Although I celebrated Canada Day earlier this week, I think I’ll join the U.S. in celebrating Independence Day anyway! Have a great one!

For today’s Friday Flashback I’d like to take you back to the year 2000 at the MTV Awards. Britney Spears hits the stage singing part of “Satisfaction” by the Rolling Stones before stripping out of her black pantsuit into a revealing and sheer glittery outfit.

From there Britney bursts into “Oops I Did it Again”. I have to say, as much as I’ve been enjoying the video clips from the Circus Tour, her dancing back then was just epic. I always loved watching Britney dance, her choreography is just amazing.

Also, and this may just be a sign that I’m reading and watching way too much Michael Jackson footage lately, you can really see some of his influence on Britney in this performance. The way she’s dressed (especially the hat) at the beginning and the way she dances before stripping down is so very much his style. Amazing how much he affected the big stars of today!

It was leaked early, but it’s been officially released now so I can feel okay about posting it here - The new Britney Spears video for “Radar” is out!

What do you think of this video? I’ve never been super crazy about the song but the video is just really weird. I would have pictured more of a dance club setting than what’s featured in this video, I’m not sure what it’s all about.

Britney Spears is really racking up the opening acts, giving lots of people a chance to obtain even more fame. Last week I wrote that Britney was bringing Ciara and Kristinia DeBarge on tour with her when she returns to North America.

Today it was announced that Britney will also have One Call as an opening act! Like the others, One Call will join the Circus Tour for the nine North American tour dates. Check out One Call:

Britney Spears is being coy, teasing her fans a little bit. She posted to Twitter yesterday with a hint at changes to come, saying “New leg, new song, new outfits, new do…. -Britney”

Well, we know there’s a new leg and we all saw the hot new ‘do. What will the new outfits look like? And most importantly to me, what’s the new song?! It makes sense to change things up on a long tour like this one. Not only does Britney have to perform the same show over and over, with YouTube fans can see parts of the show before they go in person, so adding new songs (or remixing some) is a fun way to shake it up.

As I posted the other day, Britney Spears had a chance to perform with Michael Jackson several years ago. In light of his passing, she made this statement to Larry King:

“I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour
in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I’m devastated he’s gone!”

It’s still such a shock for so many of us but I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for those who actually got a chance to know him personally.

In related news, some idiots are posting around the internet, making up phony celebrity deaths. According to a few posts I’ve seen on Twitter, some people are trying to state that Britney Spears has also passed away. The original posts in question have been removed, but please - if you hear this rumor don’t be alarmed as it’s completely untrue!
