Rumors of a new Britney Spears Greatest Hits album

There have been rumors whispered lately that in between shows Britney Spears is working on a new “greatest hits” album using songs from “Blackout” and “Circus”. She’s also supposedly working on a handful of new songs to appear on the album as well, to fill it out and make it worth buying.
There’s a debate as to whether this is a good idea or whether it’s just Britney’s way of saying “okay, the comeback has been awesome but now I need a break!” I can see how that makes sense – a greatest hits album keeps her fresh in your mind but doesn’t require the promotional effort of a tour. It would be a good way for her to take a break for a little bit before working on a whole new album that does need a tour to follow it up.

I think it may be good for Britney to take a break however I don’t like the idea of a greatest hits album. A compilation album of hits from 2 albums isn’t much of a greatest hits. Yeah there’s 6 new songs involved but that’s like half an album which means half of the greatest hits will be filled with old material. How many hits has she had from these last two albums anyway? “Gimme More”, “Piece of Me” “Break The Ice”? (I don’t think that was much of a hit anyway) “Womanizer” “Circus” “If You Seek Amy” “Radar”?(Radar might not even really be a hit yet but, like they’ll probably do with BTI, they’ll probably put it on there anyway). I hope this isn’t true because I don’t want a greatest hits album to be put out and it’s just filler and doesn’t mean anything. If she’s going on break and wants fans to have somethng before she leaves then she should just release a short EP of new songs. But I really hope this is just a rumor. A break, I don’t mind but while I love getting new Britney material, I do mind a greatest hits album that isn’t sincere.
Me2 – That’s a great idea, to just put out a mini EP instead of a greatest hits compilation. I think it’s too soon and there are too few albums for another one.
Britney dont repeat yourself.Britney be to the point and always look for the newest,the latest through new style,look,performnce,hit and distinguished songs that are sweet and short.Britney dont be lazy to think of such an album.Britney you will lose not gain if you did so.
