Britney Spears kicks off her Circus tour in style!
Alternate title: It’s Britney, bitch.
Last night marked the official kick-off of Britney Spears’ Circus tour and reports are that the old Brit’s back. Her own website liveblogged the event, including many Twitter reports from fans who were attending the show.
Britney’s concert almost completely sold out the 19,000 seat arena, included all the promised magic acts and more, including starting the show off by lowering a dancing Britney in a cage.
The concert involved a 16-song set, including “Circus”, “A Piece of Me”, “Radar”, “Slave 4 U”, “Toxic”, “Baby One More Time”, and of course her comeback single hit, “Womanizer”.
A review over on People.com said that Britney still has a bit further to go before she can officially claim a comeback – the article mentioned that there was a strong lack of engagement throughout the concert, and that Britney didn’t even address the crowd until the very end of the show. However, from the accolades that poured out on Twitter all evening, I think that the majority of the fans were more than just a little satisfied.

I LOVEd Britney’s concert!!! I was in touch with the updates on Twitter!! I watched some more video clips earlier in the day – can’t get enuff…her concert was not only HOT but it was like watching another show with all the effects!! g’JOB! a friend kept me updated with the reviews and sent me here: tinyurl(dot)com/BritneyCircusTourClips …..i hope she sings more of the songs live tho (for future concerts)..can’t wait till she comes to MSG in NY for a performance!
