Wow. Like Britney Spears isn’t already busy enough these days. She’s been rehearsing almkost 24/7, working on her album, shooting her video, and preparing for her album launch in December, followed by a world tour in 2009. Now she’s got another launch ahead in January 2009. After some pretty decent success with her Believe fragrance, she’s ready for round two.

In January you’ll be able to purchase the new Britney Spears fragrance, Hidden Fantasy. According to press details, the scent comes from her love of white florals, vanilla, and rich desserts. The overall effect is a fairly sweet smelling perfume which will sell for $55 for 3.3 oz.

Britney Spears’ father Jamie was granted permanent conservatorship of Britney’s affairs earlier this week. Initially he had been granted control on a temporary basis after her second hospitalization in January and it was set to expire on December 31st.

After consulting Britney’s mental health records, her attorney stated that she did not have any objection to having it extended permanently. According to Us Weekly:

“The court finds the proposed permanent conservatorship is necessary and appropriate [because of the] complexities of her financial and business entities and also potential for her being susceptible to influences,” said Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz.

On the one hand it’s so hard for me to imagine a grown woman letting her father control so much of her life, but on the other it seems like it’s been working. Before he took over, Britney was spinning out of control. When he stepped in, things calmed down for her, she got the help she needed, and she began getting better again. Now she has her sons back in her life, won a bunch of VMA awards, has a number one song, a killer video, an album coming out, and a world tour to put together.

Clearly Britney’s life has improved drastically since her father took charge and he seems to have her absolute best interests in mind (unlike some other stage parents out there). It seems like this is the best solution for everyone.

In a court resolution, made yesterday, Jamie Spears’ conservatorship over Britney Spears was made permanent but today we learn that this “permanent conservatorship” may only be temporary… HUH?

A court commissioner said yesterday that the extension is “necessary and appropriate” but experts who had an opportunity to review the decision say that it can be overturned the moment her doctors feel she is ready.

So is it or isn’t it?

“People shouldn’t read too much into the word ‘permanent,’ ” Terry K. Wasserman, a mental health lawyer told PEOPLE.com. “In many cases, it’s just a formality to avoid having to renew a temporary status over and over again.”

And, how does Brit feel about it?

“I’ve met several times with [Britney] and she requested that I not object to the permanent conservatorship,” said Samuel Ingham, Britney’s court-appointed lawyer.

Some of Britney Spears’ dancers were seen wandering around in some very interesting costumes. When I look at that photo to the left, I can’t help but wonder what on earth it’s for. It makes me really curious and I am dying to see what it’s all about!

Meanwhile, the latest rumor that I’ve heard is that Britney will be hosting Saturday Night Live on November 22nd. I’m waiting to see if it’s truly confirmed before I get too excited, because we had all that back and forth over whether she would be performing at the VMAs and it didn’t happen, so I don’t want to wind up disappointed if I get my hopes up only to find out she has a brief cameo appearance or something. But if she does host, that would be a lot of fun.

While rehearsing, last night, Britney was ticketed for illegal parking. Apparently, her Escalade was blocking the entrance to the building and a cop who passed by slapped a ticket on her windshield.

Doesn’t he know that giving Britney a ticket is so … last year?

Britney Spears didn’t get the best reviews for her acting when she filmed Crossroads, but will she fare better if she stars as herself?

According to the Daily Mail, the singer is currently in discussions to play herself in a biopic revealing her up-and-down life in the music business. It won’t pull any punches or dance delicately around issues - it will cover all the hard times including Britney’s crazed head-shaving incident, her custody battle for her kids, her hospitalization, and her short-term paparazzi romance.

Wow!

It will also show the happy moments as well, so it’s not going to be all doom and gloom.

I find it a bit weird to have her starring in it herself. I’m not a therapist but I would have thought it might be… I don’t know, upsetting in some way, to have to relive all those dark times by playing them out in front of a camera over and over again. Then again, who knows? Maybe it will be cathartic for her. And I guess that if she plays herself she doesn’t have to worry about someone else getting it all wrong.

I’ll have to reserve my judgment until I see it for myself and see if she really does star in her own role.

The very first Britney Spears hit, “Baby One More Time” was released back on October 23rd, 1998 and it shot up to number one. Ten years later, Britney is coming full circle with “Womanizer” reaching number one as well.

According to this site, Britney Spears has been spending weeks at the International Dance Studio, not only to rehearse for her coming tour in general but also to put together a dance routine for a new, updated version of “Baby One More Time”.

The vocals have been re-recorded with a more modern feel while still maintaining everything that made it a hit song the first time around, and will simply be named “One More Time”. Someone from the studio said:

“[The song] is for an upcoming concert performance to promote her new album. It is likely that this could be a bonus track on her upcoming CD. [...] The track sounds hot. A lot more mature than the original, and very modern.”

Britney’s all grown up now and has changed a lot since her debut ten years ago. It will be interesting to hear this new version, I can’t wait until it’s released!

Did you know it’s been ten years since Britney Spears released “Baby One More Time”? That makes me feel kind of old.

The dancers who worked with her back then put together a little video with her choreographer, Andre Fuentes to thank her for helping them jump-start their careers.

That is so cool!

Britney Spears took Jayden James and Sean Preston out for a day of fun by hitting up a pumpkin patch in Hollywood. The boys apparently had a great time, including playing on a “jumpin’ pumpkin” trampoline for awhile. Britney seems to have been all smiles - clearly she is enjoying some quality time with her sons!

Besides the obvious paparazzi photos - people with cameras were everywhere, naturally - Britney beat them at their own game by bringing her own photographer with her so she could choose to share some photos of the pumpkin outing on her official website for her fans - you can check those out right here.

Gosh the boys are getting big and oh so cute!
