Along with the renewal of Britney’s conservatorship in court today, there was an interesting discussion of whether or not Brit’s restraining order against Sam Lutfi would be renewed as well. Well this renewal did not happen mainly because the court thinks that Britney’s much stronger and that Jaime can now fully protect her from him.

Britney’s court appointed attorney said to AP today: “During the temporary conservatorship, the conservators have the power to insure that Lutfi will not harm Britney anymore.”

Sam recently announced that he still believes Britney misses him and that they should be together in no time. What do you think? Will Scum Sam be back?

Today was a big day for Britney Spears and un-doubtfully a stressful one. Does she ditch the conservatorship and tries handling life alone again or extends it and stay secured (& limited).

Well, following another day at court from which Britney was absent, Brit’s conservatorship was extended until the end of the year with a progress review scheduled for October 28th.

“The extension of the conservatorship was at the request and suggestion of Britney’s doctors,” says a source close to the singer. “They’ve indicated she’s made great improvement, but it’s a work in progress. Jamie Spears doesn’t want the conservatorship to last a day longer than the doctors recommend.” [source]

Jamie Spears (aka Britney’s dad), was named temporary conservator of Brit’s affairs on Feb. 1, this was after she went through 2 forced hospitalizations in January.

I’m sure she was never asked, but Britney Spears made a cameo appearance in a political advertisement for John McCain. It’s only about one second. At the beginning of a McCain-sponsored anti-Obama ad, we see a quick flash of Britney Spears and then Paris Hilton, followed by Barack Obama while the narrator says, “He’s the biggest celebrity in the world.”

According to The Huffington Post:

“What we decided to do is find the top three international celebrities in the world, and I would say from our indications, Britney and Paris came in second and third,” said campaign manager Rick Davis. “Will people think of this as negative advertising? Look, it is the most entertaining thing I have seen on TV in a while.” He went on: “It is not our campaign that is trying to make him into an international celebrity. It’s his campaign… I don’t know Paris Hilton and Britney Spears but they are international celebrities, so, you know, apples to apples.”

It’s kind of interesting. So many people get annoyed at the attention celebrities receive on a constant basis, but it seems like people can also use that to their advantage if they want.

And of course, how Britney Spears feels about being thrown into a political campaign all depends on whether she plans to vote for McCain or Obama!

More than a week has passed since Britney and KFed closed their deal and while Britney is celebrating the closed deal, many are wondering if Britney sold her custody for bigger & better things? Well… That depends…

Ever since the divorce, there have been rumors of a possible sex tape(s) featuring the two and that Kevin was using them to “blackmail” Britney. If there is any truth in these rumors, part of the custody agreement included securing these “loose sex tapes” as well as personal introduction of Kevin to some of Britney’s high-profile contacts in the industry.

“On the condition she return the favor by hooking him up wit showbiz contacts, Kevin agreed to keep the racy tapes they made together locked away-and he may even turn them over to her in the future…..He’s also promised to be more flexible about accommodating Britney’s schedule with Sean and Jayden…He’s talking about letting her take a supervised trip with the boys.” [source]

Yesterday, we posted some pics of Britney Spears’ new banging bikini body as shown this past weekend during her vacation in Mexico.

Britney headed to Mexico along with George Maloof, a friend and owner of Palms Las Vegas. With the a custody settlement in her hand Britney could afford herself to have some fun and it looks like she did quite that. Britney went horseback riding (pics), spent time in the pool and on the beach in a bikini (pics) and according to reports, she even had some time to flirt with a local guy.

A source said: “Britney looked stunning and was clearly enjoying the attention of her male friend. At one point, the guy tipped her right back and she was screaming with laughter. They made a great couple. They also had a swim in the pool together - Britney couldn’t keep her hands off him.”

I had never heard about this, but there’s some new buzz out about a song that allegedly was written by Britney Spears after Justin Timberlake started dating Cameron Diaz. Some say it was her response to J.T.’s “Cry Me a River”, but it’s not clear if that’s true or not.

The song is called “She’ll Never Be Me” and revolves around how Cameron Diaz may have some physical similarities to Britney but that she’ll never be a replacement for the real thing. I’ve included the lyrics below the cut. The song was never officially released (so I don’t even really know how the song is out there at all) and there’s obviously no official video for it but naturally some fans have taken a stab at it themselves. I found a great video with clips of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Cameron Diaz to fit the song. Here it is, check it out!

For awhile there was a lot of hooplah going on about whether Britney Spears was pregnant because she had put on a bit of weight. And may I just say my goodness, I am so glad I am not a celebrity because it would drive me absolutely crazy to have everyone scrutinizing my midsection every time I put on a couple of pounds or have a particularly large meal. Poor Britney, that girl was brave to wear a bikini when everyone was on Britney Belly Bump Watch 2008.

But no one should be bothering her any longer. Britney is in excellent shape now, as seen in the latest photos of her in Mexico, sporting a tiny little white bikini, and let’s just say that the so-called “baby fat” from her last pregnancy? It’s nowhere to be found.

How long does it take before the excitement of having a newborn wears off and the parents are left with sleepless nights? Well it appears as if Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge have hit this stage and all the lovey-dovey that followed the birth is now over.

According to the National Enquirer (go figure), Jamie Lynn allegedly kicked Casey out after she found calls to some “mystery-women” on his cell phone bill. In addition Jamie Lynn was monitoring his Internet usage to try and locate any monkey business there as well.

New mom Jamie Lynn Spears threw her fiance Casey Aldridge out of their home - after she discovered he’s been calling other girls on his cell phone! It’s the latest in a series of battles between the teens since the birth of their daughter, Maddie Briann, on June 19…

The confrontation occurred soon after the couple moved back into their new 5-acre home in Liberty, MS, after spending three weeks at Lynn Spears’ gated mansion Serenity in Kentwood, LA.

While sorting through the mail, 17 year-old Jamie Lynn saw phone calls to other girls on Casey’s cell phone bill and confronted him.

“Casey told Jamie Lynn that she is ‘hormonal’ and that all the rumors of his cheating are just her imagination, but Jamie Lynn didn’t believe him,” said the insider. “It was too much for Jamie Lynn and she threw him out of the house. He stayed out all night.”

A source for the tabloid added that Jamie Lynn thinks Casey “might be cheating with his old girlfriend.” They add that she’s been “searching the Internet for other evidence of his cheating” and that she obviously “doesn’t trust him.”

Casey is back in the house, for now, and it seems as if he has a “legendary-ex” whom he refuses to disconnect from.
