Jamie Lynn Spears baby Shower Update
So Jamie Lynn Spears’ baby shower weekend is officially over but as bits and pieces are still being published I figured I’d highlight what was going on.
So the shower itself was a ‘regular’ ladies-only, catered celebration at the the family’s Serenity mansion. PEOPLE reports:
“Jamie Lynn opened every gift,” says a source, adding that mom Lynne and fiancé Casey Aldridge’s mother lent a hand. “We all sat in a circle and she opened gifts and thanked every person. It was just a good old-fashioned baby shower.”
TMZ knows to add that the family was delivered a special apology from Britney:
A source close to the fam tells us the day’s festivities included an apology from Britney for putting her family through all kinds of drama the last few years. And the guests were warned ahead of time not to bring up any of Britney’s antics — in other words, no head-shaving jokes!
The mansion was surrounded by paparazzi on foot and choppers and although sheriff’s deputies were posted at the gate and paparazzi circled in helicopters, “it was a normal shower,” says 1 source. “A wonderful, sweet occasion.”
