Jamie Lynn Pregnancy Interview
The whole Jamie Lynn pregnancy fiasco started when OK! Magazine released its cover for next weeks issue. The cover that reads “‘I’m Pregnant’ shocked and scared but keeping her baby, she and her mom tell the whole story to OK!” spread like fire across the net and a nice reader (thanks Jenn) sent me an excerpt from the interview itself as it is set to be released on Friday. According to OK, Jamie Lynn is 12 weeks along and was shocked to have found out.

“It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected,” she says. “I was in complete and total shock and so was he.”
Spears is 12 weeks along and initially kept the news to herself when she learned of the pregnancy from an at-home test and subsequent doctor visit, she told the celebrity magazine, which hits stands in New York on Wednesday and the rest of the country by Friday.
“As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn’t tell anybody,” she says. “Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me.”
Spears broke the news to her mother, Lynne, just before Thanksgiving, the magazine says.
“She was very upset because it wasn’t what she expected at all,” Spears says. “A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive.”
Lynne Spears, already grandmother to Britney’s young sons, says: “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious. She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.”
She says her actress daughter, the telegenic heroine of the popular Nickelodeon series “Zoey 101,” has known Aldridge for years and began dating him in high school.
Jamie Lynn plans to raise the baby in her home state of Louisiana — “so it can have a normal family life.”
The third season of “Zoey 101″ wraps up Jan. 4.
“I haven’t spoken to (Nickelodeon) personally, but they have always been so great to me over the past years and have given me so many opportunities.”
What message does she want to send to other teens about premarital sex?
“I definitely don’t think it’s something you should do; it’s better to wait,” she says. “But I can’t be judgmental because it’s a position I put myself in.”

jamie , im so happy for you. my sister had a baby at 18 she was the same as you, but she might not have the money but she lo9ves her life now as it is, its hard but all the help she gets off our family and friends i jus wish you the best and jus enjoy your life its not right or rong its your decision and tbh i think its the right one your a pretty girl and i love zoey 101 infact im watchin it now. you can do this zo.. x x x

Leave her alone. Things happen but if you don’t know that then you must be one of those girls who can’t get a guy. My sister had a baby when she was 15 and she turned out nothing like my mother and father so give her a freaking break you don’t even know her.

I support Jaimie-Lynn’s decision on keeping her baby, and taking the responsibility. Some girls just have an abortion and go on with thier life. I think brittany is a good mom but she has hit a rough patch in her life, I think Jaimie-Lynn will be a good mother too!! So all the haters just need to back off!!!

i never thought that she would ever have a baby this young at 16 !!!! there are so many girls out there that are having babys at 14 15 years old and they really don’t care anymore if they don’t have safe sex and they sould of not having sez at that age i thought she would of been more smart then her sister ..but i guess not so now we have to see what is going to happen to her show zoey 101 i mean they are not gonna still be in the show when is a havning a baby !!!

i dont think shes an idiot…im 19 and i got pregnant at 18. i dont think sex is a “bad” thing and i dont think you are stupid if ur sexual. things like this happen and im happy shes strong enough to deal with her pregnancy. its not easy being young and pregnant…i support her 100%

I have two friends who had babies at 15 and they have a house, and no one minds! just because she is famous don’t give us the right to judge this! i think its great that finally we see something normal in hollywood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having a baby at sixteen is tragic,
it is though one of the most beautiful accidents you can have, if you choose to call it that. For most people having a baby at sixteen would be difficult but she has a loving family that is backing her up.There is no doubt in my mind that Jamie will be an exellent mother.

Perfect example of the problems with the youth today. It’s like we’re in the “baby boom” era again…..with baby’s doing the booming. Her father should have a nice long talk with that boy. Pretty sad. These parents need to learn to teach their kids about parenthood. It’s no joke. Is this what’s happening on that Nickelodeon channel? Grow up before acting grown up!

It isn’t a smart choice but these things do happen. Just because shes famous doesn’t mean everyone can dumb shit on her. I mean you go to any high school or you step out side your house theirs lots of teen pregnancy’s just because she’s famous means squat. Who knows maybe from her seeing her older sister act the way she was with her kids will teach her to be a good mom. I’m glad shes keeping the baby. You can’t always compare her to her sister because you don’t personally know her. She can be completely different than her sister you don’t know. Just leave her alone she clearly has enough going on she doesn’t need to see people calling her an idiot for things that happen to regular people. At least she is admiting what she did wasn’t smart and is recommending teens to not have sex. But its something you cannot control. So I think everyone should stop saying stuff about how young she is and assuming shes going to be a bad mom because her sister is and take a look outside and see how many teenagers are pregnant. She’s not perfect you know just because shes famous, she makes mistakes too. and its not like shes the only 16 year old thats pregnant in this world i bet you theirs girls who are younger than her that is pregnant. Just give her a break. I’m sure if your kid was 16 who was pregnant (or younger) you’d be supportive too. Obviously not suggesting teens to have sex but because whats kicking the kid out if their pregnant going to do? Just think of if your parent going through that you’ll learn to deal with it and cope and be supportive of your child.

i think that her show should go on no matter what. alot of kids and teenagers admire her & look up to her, i know i do. and even though alotta poeple know about her pregnancy they still look up to her no matter what. i think they should just finish the 4th season no matter what after her baby. People have different oppnions & jamie lynn even admitted herself that shes always wanted to be exacly like her older sister britney and shes half way there. but i admire & look up to both of them & so do other kids.
