Britney Spears has had to be rushed to hospital after treading on a hypodermic needle.
Britney had stepped out of her car without shoes on when she trod on the needle in a parking lot. She was taken to Hawaii State Hospital, but tests showed the needle was unused.
A source is quoted in Britain’s Daily Star newspaper as saying: ‘Britney is going to be fine. She’s got a nasty cut but it’s been disinfected and dressed and she’s been released from hospital.
‘It was more the shock of seeing the needle poking out of her foot - as you can imagine. All sorts of things race through your mind in that situation. The conclusion we would all jump to is that it was discarded by a drug user.
‘Britney was distraught but brave.’
Meanwhile, the singer is said to be expecting her second baby just five months after having son Sean Preston.
The star - who has been at the centre of weeks of pregnancy rumours - allegedly wanted to keep the happy news a secret until she revealed it on her website.
A source revealed: ‘Britney is being really secretive, but she’s excited that Sean will have a little playmate soon.’

Hmm, stepping out of the car barefooted, and they say the south is supposedly barefoot and pregnant. She too good to wear shoes now? And how smart is she to have another baby with Kfed? Unless it isn’t his, but I’ve heard no rumors of the such.

HAHA! That was great to read! I love how people on these things tell everyone to get a life but it seems that they lack on themselves. I find these amusing. I think its stupid what media will say. I’d love to be the media because I would get paid for talking out of my ass. And the question about does she think she is too good to wear shoes is dumb. Most people hate shoes, kinda like nudist, they hate clothes, or just choose not to wear them. I hate wearing shoes, I will walk around barefoot, unless I have to wear shoes, then I am grumpy because I have to wear them. I’ve been like that since I was a child. Anyways, I am glad the needle haden’t been used, that would’ve been awful if it had. And before anyone comments, no I don’t really like Britney Spears, I go on these things to comment on the stupid media, and I am not a “teeny-bopper”. I am a grown, soon to be married woman. ;)
